The first of several Guerrilla Marketing Boot Camps was held at the San Diego North Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday April 23.

“The boot camp is dedicated to teaching small businesses in San Diego leading edge techniques to attract new customers and drive “traffic” into their stores and offices,” says David Carleton, creator and instructor of the boot camp.
20 local businesses participated in the first boot camp filling up the chamber conference room. “The business owners and managers that attended were there for one purpose,” said Carleton, “to increase their sales.” “I was very pleased with the interaction and participation within the group. Based on the comments and testimonials received, I think the attendees got what they came for – out of the box ways of increasing their sales”

“Regardless of whether the US has officially entered into a recession or not, San Diego companies are feeling the effects of the slumping economy. Companies are finding the marketing tools and techniques that just a few years ago were considered valuable in attracting new customers are no longer bringing in the sales they once were. More companies now are seeking out non traditional “guerrilla” marketing techniques,” remarked Carleton.
More boot camps are planned in May and June. For more information, go to: www.SanDiegoGuerrillaMarketingBootCamp.com
